ELECTION OF NEW ISRB OFFICERS
PLEASE CONSIDER NOMINATING THE NEW LEADERS OF YOUR SOCIETY!
Dear ISRB Member,This year we will elect two new officers for our society which will start their terms in September of 2025:
President Elect (deadline re-opened until May 9th)
The President Elect will serve for two years, then progress to President for two years and then become Past President for two years. Thus, each President will be in post for a total of six years. The President Elect plays a crucial role in the ISRB by helping to coordinate the ISRB Biannual conference, liaising with other societies and organisations and working with the President and members of the board to facilitate ISRB activities.
Secretary (deadline now closed)
The Secretary will be in post a total of four years. In addition to working with the members of the board to facilitate ISRB activities, the Secretary ensures that the constitution of the ISRB is adhered to as well as overseeing the organisation and documentation of board meetings and voting processes.
Nomination Process
Each candidate should be proposed by two nominators that are members of the ISRB. The nominators and the candidate need to work together to generate a nomination letter that:
1) speaks to the candidate’s scientific contributions, achievements, and impact on the field of regenerative biology.
2) outlines candidate’s experience in leadership and administration
3) candidate: state your motivation for serving as President Elect or Secretary. What would you like to achieve for the ISRB during your term on the Exec Board?
Please email the nomination letter, cosigned by two nominators and the candidate to email@isrbio.org by the 15th March 2025. The board will select no more than three candidates from the nominations to be voted upon by the membership of the ISRB. An electronic election will be held from April 15 to May 15 that will be open to the ISRB membership. Informal enquiries can be made to the current President, Elly Tanaka.
